Left a token deposit for my daughter so she go and do a test drive at the weekend as she works in York and I live on south coast . Said test drive done but care was good but not for her as was a little too big . Deposit returned straight away to my bank . The staff on the phone was helpful,polite, informative , honest and delivered first class professional service so thank you on behalf of myself and Georgina.

Went to order a part my windsceen washer stopped working on my way to the garage. I asked them if they could take a look and they looked at it straight away and fixed it inside the hour and charged me nothing. Great service as always and the part was available next day

After visiting a few of Stratfords car dealerships and meeting some very pushy salesmen, I visited Eden Vauxhall. As a woman on my own (my husband had to go to work) I was hesitant to walk into the garage. After pulling up my big girl pants, I walked in and was greeted by a lovely man called Ellis. He showed me all the cars, explained the boring stuff (horse malarkey, miles per something) and showed me the important stuff like where the cup holders were. I found a wonderful car in their forecourt - which wasn't a vauxhall, and Ellis did a fantastic job of getting all the information together and helping me make an informed choice. At no time did he force me to buy a car, he never once tried to sell me a Vauxhall over this other vehicle and made me feel comfortable and confident with my decision. So much so that I rang my husband after buying the car 🙈🙈. I recommend this garage wholeheartedly and will be using it again.
Eden is a good company. Vauxhall, however, have proven to be unreliable. Our used Astra Estate was sold to us with the promise it would be more fuel efficient than our old Golf 1.9. WRONG! The 1.7 Astra hardly touched 43 mpg vs Golf's 54 mpg on motorway. Fuel efficiency in Vauxhall's Insignia, Astra and Corsa ranges is worse in reality than what they advertise at 64 mpg. Whilst Vauxhall may be cheaper to purchase, total cost of ownership over 5 years may actually work out more expensive than midrange vehicles due to fuel inefficiencies. The urban cycle saw us being conservative but only achieving a dismal 32 mpg. Eden were fantastic about trying to dive the problem but Vauxhall were unable to get to the bottom of the issue. I think the diesel intercooler/ turbo was knackered after the injectors were reconditioned then replaced. After finally rejecting the vehicle under the Consumer Rights Act a replacement vehicle was offered to us at no extra cost. Whilst the replacement vehicle was not an estate and lacked all the built in navigation and digital radio, it was a newer model and automatic. After a few initial issues which were resolved, it remains trouble free... with caveats. The 2.0L fuel efficiency barely manages 41 mpg (14.5 km/L) compared to the Audi A3 2.0L 58 mpg (20.6km/L). If you're a high mileage or long distance driver, don't get a Vauxhall as it will probably cost 42% more in fuel than an equivalent in Audi, Golf, Peugeot or Toyota. Having bn said that, the Ecoflex models are more efficient but far from as good as the equivalent in other brands. I supported the purchase of a Vauxhall to help a little in keeping British jobs going even though Vauxhall is foreign owned. I regret that decision as I could have got a used Audi A6 for the same money as our Astra STI auto, with the added bonus of better Audi mileage and improved fuel efficiency with a marginally higher insurance premium for same T.C.O. Do not leave your keys in the ignition as it drains the battery if the engine is not running. A or design flaw means that even when ignition is switched off the park lights remain on sms there is nothing you can do about it. Well done Eden on your customer service... shame you choose to sell inefficient Vauxhall motors. Special thanks to General manager, Mike Earl. Brian does his job well enough. The sales floor staff in Stratford are excellent and Banbury is pretty good too. There is room for improvement in terms of Equality Act and Care Act legislation. You ought to have at least 1 automatic vehicle for each branch to provide equal service access for disabled drivers. You lost 2 stars on that alone. Some disabled people cannot drive a manual. 11% of UK drivers only have auto licences. This excludes customers from using your services, automatically (see what I did there?). If my wife never had me around she would physically not be able to use your service options... which is a breach of the law. Come on, Mr G.M. change company policy to stay in line with legislation and this review will probably go 5 star.
