Falcon Hotel

Chapel Street, Stratford-upon-Avon CV37 6HA, UK – 01789 279953

Well, located close to all attractions. Nice size rooms with large comfortable bed. Bathroom large enough, clean with shower over bath. Receptionist extremely professor and helpful. Has it'd own car park, which is £5 per night. Breakfast is £10 if you pre-book and £12 if you don't. It offers continental buffet and English which is made on order. Very nice hotel. One which I'll stay in again.

Nice staff and excellent location. 5ish minute walk for Shakespeare's birthplace etc. Room left a lot to be desired. Looked a bit shabby and wasn't very clean. I'm sure once the refurbishments are completed it'll be nicer however it wasn't mentioned while booking that half the hotel is under renovation. Feel like we payed a bit too much to be in the 'modern' part of the hotel with no view and trucks going up and down.

The Arden Hotel

Waterside, Stratford-upon-Avon, Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire CV37 6BA, UK – 01789 298682

I went to a company event which included a 3 course meal with drinks. We were situated in a long room with a couple of windows only due to probably a wedding taking up the majority of the hotel. It was a bit cramped for about 20 of us but did the job with a long table. The meal was nice but the person opposite me was not so fortunate as the soup was not put on the table properly and fell into his lap luckily he saved most of it falling. However in doing so he scolded his hand quite badly. Yes it was an accident but putting toothpaste on his scold and then bags of ice was not really doing anything. From what I could see it would be a lovely place to sit out and enjoy a drink but unfortunately I couldn't on this occasion.

Great location. Good rooms, well presented. Very professional and friendly staff. Ample parking even though very central.

The One Elm

1 Guild St, Stratford-upon-Avon CV37 6QZ, UK – 01789 404919

A fantastic pub and restaurant which was enjoyed by the whole family ranging from age 8 to 70! All the food was amazing. We returned 4 times in 10 days and everyone that we took with us loved the food there also. There is a lovely outdoor courtyard at the back once you enter the one elm. All staff are really lovely and helpful. I would highly recommend this place.

Lovely light and airy inner courtyard. Great food and sharing platters well above the usual pub grub. Friendly staff, clean, cared for, welcoming environment.

The Encore

1 Bridge St, Stratford-upon-Avon CV37 6AB, UK – 01789 269462

Nice location. Outdoor seating. Menu option was limited only because they were out of a lot of things. And this was before the dinner rush. Flavorful food for what was available.

Wow! Fantastic food and great atmosphere. We stumbled on this place while looking around in the early evening for somewhere to eat. The food was fantastic and the ale on tap was great. There was also a childern's menu with smaller versions of the adult dishes. Well worth the visit. Would definitely eat here again!

The Garrick Inn

25 High St, Stratford-upon-Avon CV37 6AU, UK – 01789 292186

At first we loved it. Fabulous old pub. The food was good, not great but good. Sadly the waitress service was VERY POOR and got in the way of what had promised to be a good night out. Seemed to us that this was a popular spot for locals (& why not) however it seemed that tourists were not particularly welcomed here which was strange considering where it is! Maybe we went on the wrong night? Disappointed.

Wow wow wow! Walk in off the street at 9.30pm, ask if the are still serving food and if they do gluten free, answer to both was a resounding yes! We were sat in the dining area at a wobbly table, but we didn't mind as it's all part of the charm! My daughter looked at the menu with delight as there was more than two items to choose from, she had a starter of aubergine and Ratatouille, she devoured it, for main course she had the chicken dish, she's not usually a meat eater but she tucked in, so it must have been good! I had the lamb shank. It was amazing, melt in the mouth, tender, beautiful. Mum and dad had fish and chips and that looked good too. Noone was prepared to share it was that good! They even were happy to prepare a dessert. Lemon sorbet, fantastic finish to a 3 course meal for someone who usually has to think herself lucky that there is an option on the menu! The staff were friendly, helpful and even made sure the elderflower bubbly had the right type of "flour" to make it gluten free!!!! Would definitely recommend a visit, even a return trip again and again.

Travel Super Market search and compare prices for hotels all over the world. Could also be useful for you. I This said I was told by a hotelier that the way to get cheap rooms is to ring up the week before and ask for the weekend rate. You can usually get an absolute bargain as they will trying to book all the rooms that they have not sold! Could be worth a try!

Bed & Breakfast Accommodation plus Guesthouses

Quilt and Croissants

33 Evesham Pl, Stratford-upon-Avon CV37 6HT, UK – 01789 267629

This place is wonderful. Great location, comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was delicious with three menu choices offered. My daughter and I had an ensuite bathroom. Like most places in the UK, there are steep stairs to your room, but our host offered to carry our luggage which was quite unexpected (but appreciated.) I couldn't ask for more!

Clean and comfy rooms, friendly and helpful hosts with a great breakfast to boot. What more could you ask for?

Cherry Trees

Swans Nest, Stratford-upon-Avon CV37 7LS, UK – 01789 292989

Outstanding place to stay near the centre of Stratford but quiet enough from the throng when the town is busy. Friendly and perfect service

Stayed here with my girlfriend for one night. The quality was outstanding - the minute we turned up we were greeted by Tony with a smile and he showed us to our room. We chose to stay in the 'Tiffany Suite' and it was large, spacious and very clean. It even had its own separate and private 'living room'. The pictures are deceiving on how large this room actually is, it's like an apartment! The bathroom was awesome too. Breakfast was delicious - lots to choose from (fresh fruit, cerials, full english etc). The location couldn't be any better for Stratford-Upon-Avon. Literally a two minute walk and you're right in the centre. Saved a lot of money on car parking! We'll definitely be returning, it is one of our favourite B&B's we've stayed at. The owners clearly take great pride in running the place, and are very friendly.

Avonlea

47 Shipston Rd, Stratford-upon-Avon CV37 7LN, UK – 01789 205940

Rob & Clare are lovely, they are helpful, courteous and slightly quirky. The rooms are beautifully laid out are are spotlessly clean, which makes this one of the best B&Bs I've stayed in. If you ask Rob nicely, he will show you one of his moves, he's mad for contemporary expressive dance at the local YMCA.

Good room, and we got a great deal. I felt like the owners (whilst nice) could make more of an effort to be polite or well turned out, but the breakfast was nice, and the location good, so overall I would recommend.

If you would like something truly different you might like to have a look at Airbnb. These are mostly B and Bs provided by people on a very informal basis. The may have a spare room, a yurt, a cottage or a barge with space they can receive guests for a night or a month! The website is highly professional. You can really see what you are going to get. Very well worth a look. Airbnb also show 'conventional' B&Bs as well. Enjoy!

Stayed for a long weekend with the touring caravan and look forward to visiting again. Great Staff, Great site and facilities. The Clubhouse looks great but saved that for the next time. Nice water taxi ride into Stratford upon Avon was a delight.

I'll start by saying it's not the sort of site we usually stay on but was good for staying on site with a group of chums. Who so ever was on the pitch before us had not used a breathable ground sheet and we stepped out of the 'van into a mud bath. Not ideal with the wheelchair. In addition just one central elsan/grey water point on the size of site isn't really good enough. The water points are not ideal either as it can feel as if you are rather encroaching on people's pitches. Staff all seemed helpful and cheery. Shame we couldn't use the river taxi into Stratford as not accessible. The Crown up the road was very good for food. The food on site not so good.

Dodwell Park

Evesham Rd, Stratford-upon-Avon CV37 9SR, UK – 01789 204957

Lovely welcome. Guys who manage this place are great people. They are not owners. Grounds well maintained. Owners should invest in shower block!! Unfortunately, showers are VERY grotty. Desperately need updating. Shower drains 'back up, & you find yourself paddling in 'used' water uugghh.

Very well laid out and organized, showers and toilet block kept nice and clean, nice big field to walk the dogs, shame they do not allow campfires would have been 5 stars if they did.

Monks' Barn Farm

Shipston Rd, Stratford-upon-Avon CV37 8NA, UK – 01789 293714

Really nice, well laid out site. Nice pitches with 15amp (3kw) Nearby pub, The New Inn does a cracking carvery £13.00 for 2 with voucher from site, but only Tuesday-Saturday

Lovely scenic setting very quiet.
