Hotels

Falcon Hotel

Chapel Street Stratford Upon A, Stratford-upon-Avon CV37 6HA, UK – 0870 832 9905

Nice and well located hotel, with a charming old section inkluded.

The Townhouse

16 Church St, Stratford-upon-Avon CV37 6, UK – 01789 262222

Lots to like about the hotel - it has very appealing decor and an excellent location, rooms are spacious and things like water bottles, milk and even port are complimentary in the room. Having said that our room was quite warm (room 4) but I think this was because there was an airing cupboard within the room. Also the breakfast buffet selection could have been a bit wider - cheese and ham was mentioned as part of breakfast but in the 2 days we were there there was none on offer. Not many savoury cold options overall. Staff were friendly and genuinely care though.

Delicious food. Not too expensive. Brilliant staff. Absolutely no complaints from me.

The White Swan Hotel

Rother St, Stratford-upon-Avon CV37 6NH, UK – 01789 297022

Here we are again at the magical White Swan for our pre Christmas jaunt. We had the biggest and warmest welcome from all our lovely friends at the hotel, who treat us like family! A weekend just doesn’t seem long enough! 5 Star recommendation from myself and my hubby again. I’ll be booking for 2018 as soon as we can. Love you guys, you do a wonderful job! Xx🎄🌟🦌

Lovely comfortable rooms, all amenities are available, plus fridge and safe. Shower awesome, staff really friendly and helpful. Town is beautiful. Only downside is that there is no parking available with the hotel, tho there is a public car park right across the road. Would definitely stay again!

Pubs, Gastro Pubs and Bars

The Encore

1 Bridge St, Stratford-upon-Avon CV37 6AB, UK – 01789 269462

A good bar that has a good number of people in the bar. Has outdoor seating that is ok. Downside is it is very central and so lots of tourists. Good decor and different seating arrangements make it a good bar and you can see out across the park.

Had lunch today - excellent - really good broad range on the menu. Staff we're very attentive and friendly. Good beer too. Will be back soon

The Garrick Inn

25 High St, Stratford-upon-Avon CV37 6AU, UK – 01789 292186

Great pub, very cosy but still a decent size. Lots of character & attentive service. I had the lamb shank - amazing, then the Banoffee pie - amazing. Partner had the bangers and mash - amazing.

At first we loved it. Fabulous old pub. The food was good, not great but good. Sadly the waitress service was VERY POOR and got in the way of what had promised to be a good night out. Seemed to us that this was a popular spot for locals (& why not) however it seemed that tourists were not particularly welcomed here which was strange considering where it is! Maybe we went on the wrong night? Disappointed.

The One Elm

1 Guild St, Stratford-upon-Avon CV37 6QZ, UK – 01789 404919

A fantastic pub and restaurant which was enjoyed by the whole family ranging from age 8 to 70! All the food was amazing. We returned 4 times in 10 days and everyone that we took with us loved the food there also. There is a lovely outdoor courtyard at the back once you enter the one elm. All staff are really lovely and helpful. I would highly recommend this place.

Great food and service. Would recommend

Travel Super Market search and compare prices for hotels all over the world. Could also be useful for you. I This said I was told by a hotelier that the way to get cheap rooms is to ring up the week before and ask for the weekend rate. You can usually get an absolute bargain as they will trying to book all the rooms that they have not sold! Could be worth a try!

Bed & Breakfast Accommodation plus Guesthouses

Quilt and Croissants

33 Evesham Pl, Stratford-upon-Avon CV37 6HT, UK – 01789 267629

This place is wonderful. Great location, comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was delicious with three menu choices offered. My daughter and I had an ensuite bathroom. Like most places in the UK, there are steep stairs to your room, but our host offered to carry our luggage which was quite unexpected (but appreciated.) I couldn't ask for more!

Clean and comfy rooms, friendly and helpful hosts with a great breakfast to boot. What more could you ask for?

Hamlet House

52 Grove Rd, Stratford-upon-Avon CV37 6PB, UK – 01789 204386

Great service and friendly host. He was flexible and even made breakfast an hour early than scheduled. Room was clean and tidy. Would stay again.

Spectacular breakfast and comfortable room. the entire place is very clean and organized.

Ashgrove House

37 Grove Rd, Stratford-upon-Avon CV37 6PB, UK – 01789 297278

Great personal touch added by the owners. Thank you

Very nice stay would recommend. Would have been 5 stars but didnt tell us where to park in advance so had to faff with that and didnt get fresh coffee and milk supplies one day. But very nice rooms, great food, friendly people and nice price. Happy to recommend to others

If you would like something truly different you might like to have a look at Airbnb. These are mostly B and Bs provided by people on a very informal basis. The may have a spare room, a yurt, a cottage or a barge with space they can receive guests for a night or a month! The website is highly professional. You can really see what you are going to get. Very well worth a look. Airbnb also show 'conventional' B&Bs as well. Enjoy!

Stayed in the snug for 5 days it was really warm and the facilities were great! I would definitely recommend it for a good value getaway! It is within walking distance to Stratford upon Avon and there are a few national trust sites near which you can pop into for day trips. I will definitely be coming back in the summer.

Lovely caravan. Spotless. Excellent clubhouse with great food that’s priced about right. Collect your 10% discount when eating as we forgot to mention it and we weren’t asked.

Dodwell Park

Evesham Rd, Stratford-upon-Avon CV37 9SR, UK – 01789 204957

Lovely welcome. Guys who manage this place are great people. They are not owners. Grounds well maintained. Owners should invest in shower block!! Unfortunately, showers are VERY grotty. Desperately need updating. Shower drains 'back up, & you find yourself paddling in 'used' water uugghh.

Very well laid out and organized, showers and toilet block kept nice and clean, nice big field to walk the dogs, shame they do not allow campfires would have been 5 stars if they did.

Stratford Tourist Information Centre

Bridgefoot, Stratford-upon-Avon CV37 6GW, UK – 01789 264293

Two times here, and not really helpful... sorry.

The walking tour of Shakespeare's Stratford was fantastic. A great friendly guide who relived the mans life and had bags of theatrical flair to bring Shakespeare to life. Awesome Vakue!
