Hotels Stratford-Upon-Avon

Crowne Plaza Stratford Upon Avon

Bridge Foot, Stratford-upon-Avon CV37 6YR, UK – 01789 279988

Centrally located to Stratford Upon Avon high street and Marina. Modern, with inviting communal lounges and open spaces. The executive rooms are a good size, clean and well appointed. The rooms provide several power sockets for all your connected devices. The bathroom could have benefited from a shavers mirror. The in room fridge and safe were also a good size. Convenient parking, friendly and courteous staff... very enjoyable, would definitely book again!

Visited Stratford Upon Avon for the first time with friends on 14th July 2018. We all found the Crowne Plaza to be a lovely, friendly hotel. We arrived early, and there was no problem with checking us in. The rooms were a good size, and very comfy good sized bed. They have a nice spacious buffet breakfast, which was faultless. I noticed a few comments about low water pressure for the shower, but it was just how I like it. They have a very pleasant outside area which backs on to the river. We regularly stay in English Hotels, and overall, we couldn’t find anything negative to say about our stay, so would just like to say thank you to all the hard working staff for making it a pleasant stay!

Macdonald Alveston Manor Hotel

Clopton Bridge, Stratford-upon-Avon CV37 7HP, UK – 0344 879 9138

My best friend gave us as a wedding gift Spa break in this hotel. I don't usually go for traditional old fashion hotels, prefer new builds with simple modern furniture, but to my surprise, hotel was very nice, I like it's traditional futures and style. Spa was all what I needed for nice relaxing massage and manicure done by friendly manicurist. Only downside was breakfast. I was waiting for my tea and toast and in the end left without them. I can forgive them as it was busy Sunday morning. We liked the town and want to return...maybe we will return also to the hotel ...

Lovely, attentive staff for a beautiful boutique hotel. The food is fantastic - the chef really knows what he is doing! A perfect spot for a weekend get away and some sight seeing and also perfect for a business stop as it is within easy reach of the centre of town and all the other hotels.

The Arden Hotel

Waterside, Stratford-upon-Avon, Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire CV37 6BA, UK – 01789 298682

Very nice place indeed in an ideal location for visiting the city of Cambridge. Beautiful weather, honesty bar and excellent grounds for walking made our stay very relaxing. Will definitely visit again.

Would give 5 stars if the restaurant service wasn't slow. Friendly staff but need to learn to understand English better. When I ask for my tea bag and hot water separate that is what I expect to get

Stratford-Upon-Avon Pubs, Gastro Pubs and Bars

The One Elm

1 Guild St, Stratford-upon-Avon CV37 6QZ, UK – 01789 404919

Good food and drink. Can be a little pricey but high quality and nice staff and atmosphere. Friday has a spin the wheel happy hour which might give you a free drink

Good food and excellent service. As you walk through the door you are greeted with a vibrant pub however the dining area has a relaxed atmosphere. The food was great along with excellent service. Prices are reasonable given its location and proximity to Shakespeare's house. Car park is small and gets crowded. However there is a pay and display area across the road (£3 for an evening)

The Encore

1 Bridge St, Stratford-upon-Avon CV37 6AB, UK – 01789 269462

The Encore is an unexpected nice experience. Closely situated to the river, this place gets enough footfall to not need to serve excellent food, but they do. Thoroughly enjoyable drinks and a wonderful sauce with their spit roasted chicken. The pea soup was also a pleasant and tasty surprise. Recommended.

Nice comfy pub near Waterside. Pleasant decor with fresh flowers on the tables, candles and a real log fire helping the atmosphere. I was pleasantly surprised to see they offer vegan fare as well as their more traditional menu items. Seating area available outside on the path overlooking the park and canal basin looks like it would be nice in the warmer weather.

25 High St, Stratford-upon-Avon CV37 6AU, UK – 01789 292186

5/6/2018 wonderful reception from staff, quick service, wide menu list, had the truly large fish and chips, with Guinness to wash it down. No room for the afters and all at a reasonable price. The staff Georgie, Lynette, Felix, Tim, & Ollie were all so helpful and happy they made the visit a pleasure.

Nice little public bar at the front with bar stools.... excellent beer and service from Lynette and Dee making it a most enjoyable visit.

Shakespeare St, Stratford-upon-Avon CV37 6RN, UK – 01789 262273

We rented 42 Shakespeare Street for a week for our family who were visiting us. The cottage was excellent in every respect, spotlessly clean and has all the facilities needed to make our family’s stay very comfortable. It was a very short walk to all the tourist attractions. The off street parking was an added bonus in this very busy town.

Luxury Lodges

Riverview Lodge (216), Avon Park, 0NS, Warwick Rd, Stratford-upon-Avon CV37 7AG, UK – 07802 640372

Amazing unspolied and peaceful views of the Avon. Try to get a river-side cabin. So peaceful: birds of all sizes invite themselves to your breakfast!

Riverview lodge is an absolutely fantastic place to unwind. Right on the river Avon and jn an idyllic setting. The river taxi was just a short stroll away which took us into the heart of Stratford. The owner , Irine , was a lovely lady and should be commended for the attention to detail she has lavished on her accommodation, it was short of nothing . I will definitely return should I get the chance .

Bed & Breakfast Accommodation plus Guesthouses

Hunters Moon

150 Alcester Rd, Stratford-upon-Avon CV37 9DR, UK – 01789 292888

Lovely place to stay with friendly hosts. Everything was high quality and pristinely clean too. Now the only minor criticism was the shower which you had to run around to get wet. But I’m a shower snob who likes being jet blasted. Still 5 stars.

An excellent base from which to explore Stratford Upon Avon, being about 20 minutes walk to Shakespeare's birth place and all the town centre shops and restaurants. The owners are very friendly and welcoming and provide excellent breakfasts. The rooms are clean and comfortable.

Quilt and Croissants

33 Evesham Pl, Stratford-upon-Avon CV37 6HT, UK – 01789 267629

Our stay was perfect, from our welcome to our departure. The rooms and really cozy, and very clean. The beds were so comfortable, with luxurious sheets. Our hosts were so helpful with our large crew, accommodating those in our group that were vegan. Sue is a phenomenon cook, each and every meal was simply scrumptious down to the last bite. I miss her cooking. If I ever make it back to Statford-upon-Avon, I know where I will book my stay.

Excellent BnB, great service and food. The owners even had a puppy which when we asked to see it they let us play with for a bit. Excellent people

Stratford-Upon-Avon Campsites and Caravan Parks

Riverside Caravan Park

Tiddington Rd, Stratford-upon-Avon CV37 7AB, UK – 01789 292312

Lovely site, very clean and well maintained. Staff lovely and helpful. The site is in a good location for exploring the area. Only slight hiccup was I could not get a TV signal and I know others had the same problem. However, I will definitely be visiting again.

This is a brilliant caravan site ,very friendly helpful staff good facilities that are well maintained very good bar and restaurant on site that you get discount on their prices. The river boats into Stratford are excellent every time we've used them the banter with the boat staff as been very funny and pleasant. In Tiddington village there is a great pub with good standard meals excellent beers.down the road is a very good Tapas bar. There is also a good Indian restaurant and Chinese restaurant. The local Spar shop is well stocked and is reasonably priced the wines and spirits section has a good range at very reasonable prices. The staff here are also very good especially the two ladies on the hot food bar

Dodwell Park

Evesham Rd, Stratford-upon-Avon CV37 9SR, UK – 01789 204957

Me and my boyfriend stayed here for 3 nights in our tent. Nice big pitch, although partly on a slant. Lovely free hot showers, and clean toilets. Friendly greeting on arrival. Little shop selling essentials open for short while in mornings. We drove into Stratford but there is a bus stop right outside the site if you need it.

Had a very pleasant stay. Clean, quiet site with excellent showers. Helpful, pleasant Owners. There is a bus stop right outside to take you into the centre of Stratford, but it does finish quite early. Would revisit

Stratford Caravans

Warwick Rd, Stratford-upon-Avon CV37 0NS, UK – 01789 293438

My partner and I stay at her mother's caravan from time to time and always enjoy our stay. The site has it's own members bar which also serves food. A convenience store is just a short walk up to Tiddington. There is always a boat taxi to take you directly to Stratford town which is cheap and highly recommended.

We are not fans of camping in Britain but compared to what others are charging for very little this site comes out as a good one. Lovely setting on the river, easy access to Stratford, new restaurant on site and toilet blocks aren't too bad. 10 mins walk to a spar shop, Chinese restaurant and a pub x
