Stratford Tourist Information Centre

Bridgefoot, Stratford-upon-Avon CV37 6GW, UK – 01789 264293

Two times here, and not really helpful... sorry.

The walking tour of Shakespeare's Stratford was fantastic. A great friendly guide who relived the mans life and had bags of theatrical flair to bring Shakespeare to life. Awesome Vakue!

Stratford Town Walk

Swan Fountain, Waterside, Stratford-upon-Avon CV37 6BA, UK – 07855 760377

I like to do walking tours wherever I travel, so I've done quite a few! This was a great example of the right walking tour - the right amount of interesting history, an easy pace for the group, a fantastic price (too cheap I think!), and an absolutely lovely tour guide. Can't recommend highly enough!

Third time I do this tour. +2h full of stories, laughter and knowledge. Best attraction of SUA.

The history of Menorca is fascinating. It looks like a little bit of Britain in the Mediterranean. Thanks for the info, guys!

I would like to thank you all at Avon boating today. Not only did you rectify my booking which was my own fault you gave us a great service with great explanations for a novice ! Our children had great time and always felt safe more so from your handover than my driving!!!! Thanks guys 👌

Great experience, friendly staff and great views. Wouldn't recommend rowing in the rain and a strong current though!

Avon Boating Boat Tours

River, Avon, Stratford-upon-Avon CV37 7LS, UK – 01789 267073

Boat trip I recommend this river trip in Stratford-upon-Avon. You can see the town from a different perspective for 40 minutes! Very peaceful, lots to see from nice buildings to water birds!

Great time we all had on the river....

Canal and River Tours Ltd

Waterside, Stratford-upon-Avon CV37 6BA, UK – 01789 608001

Can't recommend this trip enough. Great commentary, friendly staff and unbeatable value. A big thank you to the crew who were very patient and helpful with my elderly parents.

We took this trip during the summer holidays with my two young boys. They enjoyed an ice cream from the sister ice cream boat, and learnt about the functioning of the lock, as well as enjoying the audio commentary whilst cruising the beautiful River Avon admiring the nature and the scenery. The staff were very welcoming and helpful, and the 40 min trip is very reasonably priced. I would recommend this activity to anyone visiting Stratford, or indeed to local Stratfordians!

Local Parks & Gardens

Bancroft Gardens

Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire CV37 6BA, UK – 01789 269196

Pretty, well maintained and accessible. You can also get very good ice cream from the barges moored up. Gets very busy during the river festival, and can be hard to find a place to sit down

Nice place for a family day out. Lots to do with young kids, from a bouncy castle to boat rides.

New Place Gardens

Chapel Ln, Stratford-upon-Avon CV37 6ER, UK – 0800 001066

Warm welcome and explanation about the deeds to the house. Interesting 15 minute talk by young guide very engaging. Mulberry from the rumoured descendant of Shakespeare's mulberry tree was tasty ;)

Lovely garden - a place to sit and linger. Not huge amounts to do though with children, although there are some nice bits for kids in the exhibition space inside.

Dodwell Park

Evesham Rd, Stratford-upon-Avon CV37 9SR, UK – 01789 204957

Lovely welcome. Guys who manage this place are great people. They are not owners. Grounds well maintained. Owners should invest in shower block!! Unfortunately, showers are VERY grotty. Desperately need updating. Shower drains 'back up, & you find yourself paddling in 'used' water uugghh.

Very well laid out and organized, showers and toilet block kept nice and clean, nice big field to walk the dogs, shame they do not allow campfires would have been 5 stars if they did.

Great website!. Click below to find gardens open during the year around Lower Quinton or Warwickshire. There are photos and lots of detail about the garden.

Thankyou for a lovely mini break. Alan & Orla from South London.

I had a lovely and welcoming stay. Only a 15mins walk from the train station and close to all that Stratford-upon-Avon has to offer. Very comfy bed and a hearty breakfast meant I was all set for 3 fab days in the area!! Thank you.
