Cinemas around Lower Quinton

Stratford-upon-Avon Picturehouse - Cinema

Windsor St, Stratford-upon-Avon CV37 6NL, UK – 0871 902 5741

Small and friendly cinema. Staff are always welcoming and the bar is a good place to meet and grab a drink before going to see a film. Cinema shows the latest releases as well as a good selection of classic and arts related screenings. Comfortable, clean and a good venue.

Great place to spend the evening watching a film or just a drink. The staff are a good bunch too.

Everyman Stratford - upon - Avon

Bell Court, Wood street, Stratford-upon-Avon CV37 6EX, UK – 0871 906 9060

Brilliant! Love this place. Great staff! The double seats are perfection and even the toilets are amazing! Good can be served at your seat too! Food and drink is traditionally pricey as with most cinemas but we went to the Lamplighter pub just round the corner in Rother street for a drink first. So happy that Stratford finally has something decent ! Will be going again!

Visited the new Everyman cinema today and I really can't recommend it enough. It's wonderful: beautiful inside, lush and welcoming, with food, drink, comfy chairs and a little balcony. You could easily hang out there all day, before you even watch a film. And the four screens: brilliant sound, great picture and all the sofa chairs are like sitting at home. The staff are simply lovely, parking just round the corner (though it's an NCP so prepare to fork out a tenner for 4 hours...gulp). People of Stratford, you're really lucky to have this on your doorstep. If you're thinking of going to see anything at the cinema, do consider going here - still worth the drive even if you don't live there. We'll be back. (When hopefully the new arcade the cinema sits in will have some additional tenants).

Royal Shakespeare Company

Royal Shakespeare Theatre, Waterside, Warwickshire, Stratford-upon-Avon CV37 6YF, UK – 01789 403493

Fabulous Theatre. always first class productions A must visit for anyone who likes theatre. lovely front of house cafe areas restaurants a theatre shop. a memorable experience

It was a very intelligent production. The director had clearly thought through very carefully how to get across this tricky, very violent play to the audience, conveying the horror and the scabrous black comedy simultaneously. The company clearly understood what they were about. The standard of verse speaking is high, the pacing good, and theŕe was a real 'ensemble' feeling in the way they worked with each other. I've seen this at least twice before at the RSC, including Trevor Nunn's Roman season, but this is the only time I've come away feeling that the play had been made to work, and had communicated its story persuasively to a modern audience.

I love this theatre. Same thrust stage and layout as the larger RST but more intimate and more varied repertoire (and cheaper seats!)
