Staff were incredible and the food was second to none. Will always be my favourite Italian restaurant.
TA took us to this Italian restaurant as most places were booked up. Lucky for us , we liked the dishes on the menu and sampled them out. and we were not disappointed with our choices. I think the staff made a big difference to by being accommodating to our party of 4, and guys, we thank you.

We had a most memorable lunch at this restaurant to celebrate my wife’s birthday. The staff, who were aware of the celebration, had left a hand written birthday card on our table. Our waitress, the fittingly named Juliet was friendly, chatty and efficient. I can heartily recommend the tiger prawns, which were huge, and the fillet steak, which was expertly cooked to our preference. The restaurant itself is charmingly bijou with separate rooms and nooks. There were only four small tables where we are making the experience quiet and uncrowded. Will we eat here again? Most definitely.
Located in a historic building, the interior is welcoming and cosy. Service was attentive and friendly. However the reason for going to a restaurant - the food, wasn't anything special and was made worse by each dish being overpriced by several pounds. I had a rib eye steak - the meat was not of a high quality as it was fatty and bland. It was served with a small mushroom, a bit of green stuff, a bit of tomato and a cup of tripple cooked chips. My wife had swordfish which she was also disappointed with. Price for two courses including service and a bottle of wine was just under £100. Having been to both, I'd recommend the Vintner next door rather than Loxleys.

Personally I liked it though there was no flexibility on asking to sit where u wanted, even though it was at lunchtime. I must say I found the reception staff and waiting staff nice. The food was fine but a little little meaning I could have taken a bigger serving.. Im nuts about the RSC so I 'm a cert to try it all again.
Good food, promptly served. Prices not cheap but you pay for the convenience of stepping from the table to your seat.
